TRAINING
Asbestos Training
This training is mandatory for anyone liable to be exposed to asbestos fibres during the course of their work. This course is tailored to meet the asbestos awareness training requirements of regulation 10 of the Control of Asbestos Regulations 2012.
Course content includes; the properties of asbestos and its effects on health, the types, uses and likely occurrences of asbestos within buildings, the general procedures to deal with an emergency and how to avoid the risk of exposure to asbestos.
Abrasive Wheels
This training is for workers who are required to fit abrasive wheels during the course of their work. Managers and supervisors of such workers should also undergo this training.
Course content includes; the different types and uses of abrasive wheels, wheel marking system, inspection, storage and handling, wheel mounting, pre use machine checks and PPE.
Manual Training
This training is required for workers who carry out manual handling that carries a risk of harm to their health.
Course content includes; the anatomy of the spine, the types of harm and how they may be caused, principles of safer manual handling and assessing the risk of harm.
Temporary Works
This course provides a broad understanding of temporary works and industry best practice, including managing the risks involved with temporary works.
Course content includes; what constitutes temporary works, the need to properly plan temporary works, the common issues and failures, the temporary works management arrangements and the roles and responsibilities of persons involved in the management of temporary works.
Working at Height
This training is for any person who manages, supervises or carries out work at height.
Course content includes; the risks involved with work at height, the hierarchy of control, assessing the risks, selecting the correct control measures and the selection and use of suitable work at height equipment.
Face fit Training
This is not a training course it is a service that we offer.
Toolbox Talks
These are short discussions, typically 10-15 minutes, that focus on one topic and deal with it it simple terms. They are normally used to emphasise a particular issue or procedure but can also be used to remind the workforce of key information.
